Synopsis The Cove is a documentary about the massacre of more than 23,000 dolphins in a cove in Taiji, Wakayama (Japan). The film was directed by former National Geographic photographer Louis Psihoyos, and was secretly recorded during 2007 using underwater microphones and high-definition cameras disguised as rocks. Won the Audience Award of the United States in the Sundance Film Festival in January 2009.
The Cove, delves into the killing of dolphins and supported by the government blocked all contact with the press or the public.

personal consciousness
Ric O'Barry is the man who in the sixties captured and trained the five dolphins who play Flipper (star of the television series). From that experience and despite the success of the series, O'Barry became aware through different experiences that
dolphins were made to live in the open sea and should not do
in captivity.
This documentary is an example of personal responsibility, social and nature, O'Barry with this documentary, denounces the practices held in the Japanese town of Taiji, where people covered by the political system, used bloody dolphin hunting methods, with disastrous consequences for both the animals and the health of humans consuming the meat (unknowingly in many cases).

sociopersonal Responsibility is evident, as we do not see, unaware, sleepy @ s in the system. The documentary is a town in which its inhabitants conceal what really happens in "the cave", numbed by political and financial trickery that has nourished the authorities to perpetuate their interests.
Each person from our place, we can do "something" in the documentary, for example, looks like two councilors who opposed the distribution of dolphin meat in school meals and managed to carry out its objective.

do I expect?
When I get some information about a social movement (incinerator, whaling, the work of the port of Pasajes ...), do not get involved, I just "know otr @ s are doing something," I use my state parasitic on society and my numbness in the system.
the end of this documentary, one of the characters says: "If we can not stop that, if we can not fix that, forget the bigger problems."
When I fall asleep in the system telling me I do what I can do nothing ... when I will know what to do ... that's not in my hands ... and do nothing. That is the mistake, of course I can, I can what I can: see what's there, and action research to know, do what I can, sometimes through a firm, others a demonstration, a written, visual record ... Then , Why wait?, I have to wait for anything is to participate, "stop or fix" what if I see and act as I can.

Teamwork
The documentary was produced with a target specific and common (to expose the dark), and is an example of how people from different areas, (divers, activists, surfers, special effects experts ...), contribute what they know "what they can" to achieve end.
