Context Secretary is an adaptation of a Mary Gaitskill short story published in the volume of stories author 'Bad Behavior'. The film directed by Steven Shainberg won the Special Audience Award for Originality in the 2002 edition of the Sundance Film Festival. Synopsis The story centers on the life of Lee Holloway, a young woman who recently left the psychiatric hospital where he spent a few months for his obsessive need to self-harm, a resource that has been found to be punished for not supporting a dysfunctional family with an alcoholic father who have laid off and a mother who only cares about his image and maintain good social status.
The other character who co-stars Edward Grey Secretary is a lawyer, solitary, methodical and a perfectionist with sadistic tendencies. Drag the double failure which is overcome by locking themselves in the office and crushed in his home gym.
Lee wants to reintegrate into society and it made a typing course. Excellent grades led him to be hired by the prestigious law firm of Edward Grey. At first the work seems normal: typing letters, filing and making coffee, but Lee and Mr. Grey are soon to embark on a much more close and intimate. This obsessive man, timid and sadistic tendencies have been dismissed in recent months to several secretaries who have left the firm shocked by Edwar extrenticidades.
Lee and Edward are two lonely people they feel a powerful attraction. This attraction brings in a sadomasochistic relationship tinged with romance. The story behind a true romantic love story with an ending to Pretty Woman. They both understand, and realize that love is to recognize what sets them apart from the rest of the world, what makes them happy, even if it means having to cross the social conventions. Secretary

A perfect combination, at the meeting of two lonely and misunderstood, because of their neurosis, meeting, consistent and complementary.
